Sidetone sent to speakers instead of headset

First of all, let me start by saying that I think this nice program fills a rather unexpected void within Skype.
I could hardly believe it when Skype didn't supply an option for the user to select the sidetone level, it felt very tacky.

Now on to my problem.. ..I managed to get the program going OK after installing a compatible version of Direct X 10,
and while the program does seem to do what it sets out to, the sidetone sound ends up in my speakers (connected to
soundcard on motherboard), while I use an USB-handset to talk and listen, while using Skype.

The USB-handset appears to install itself as an external sound device.

Is there any way to resolve this issue that I am missing here?

Thanks in advance!

Gokmase,

Try change your systems default playback device to your headset.

It's on my list if I get time and energy to add an option to Skype Sidetone that will the user select which playback device to use, rather than just the default one... but I don't know when I'll get to it...
